Children’s choir from Mexico joins Phoenix groups for 'Música Sin Fronteras'

On Sunday, a children’s choir from Hermosillo, Sonora, joins two Phoenix-based music groups for a concert called "Música Sin Fronteras," or “Music Without Borders.”

Professional ensemble Musica Nova Orchestra will play alongside more than 100 students from the Harmony Project in Phoenix and Coro Infantil de Hermosillo at the Central United Methodist Church in downtown Phoenix on Sunday night.

Together, they’ll perform pieces by Bach and the Mexican composer — and Sonora-born — Arturo Márquez. All proceeds will go toward scholarship funds for the kids in the program.
