National Weather Service forecasts windy weather in Phoenix and norther Arizona

The National Weather Service sees temperatures starting off slightly below normal with Monday being in the mid to upper 80s. Forecasts show the other days of the workweek reaching highs in the low 90s.

Before going into that, residents might experience some windy conditions

Isaac Smith is a meteorologist with the agency.

“So depending on where you are, so for around the Valley, you could be looking at some gusts, you know, upwards of 25 to even the 35 miles per hour. But the strongest winds will remain across the higher terrain areas of Arizona," he said.

The NWS also issued a high wind watch for Sunday for northern Arizona. Smith suggests people traveling up north should be cautious as the conditions could make traveling to the north difficult.
