About 15,000 acres of the Coconino National Forest are scheduled for prescribed burns this week.
Four regions will be treated ranging from north of the San Francisco Peaks to Holbrook.
Wet weather in late April prevented the U.S. Forest Service from being able to carry out the burns earlier.
