Scottsdale holds open house meetings for the development of a shade and tree plan

The city of Scottsdale will host a series of open house events to get people’s thoughts for the development of a shade and tree plan. The development of this plan comes as the city addresses heat mitigation.

That’s according to Lisa McNeilly, the sustainability director for the city.

“So after we gather the information, our team will start work to pull together the plan. So we view this plan as a roadmap to increase the shade and we'll be taking kind of a toolkit approach," she said.

The locations for open house meetings taking place later this month can be found on the city’s social media.
