Recent wildfire spike in Pinal County has AZ officials concerned

State officials say they’re concerned about a spike of 25 wildfires in Pinal County in the last six weeks that were all human-caused.

Use of equipment, such as for welding or grinding, was the source of many fires, which are starting faster and spreading quicker with ample fuel and unfavorable weather.

Officials say wildfire starts were mostly south and southwest of the city of Maricopa.
