University of Arizona president search: Consultant says recruiting has begun

Building a job profile is one step of the process to replace Robert Robbins as president of the University of Arizona.

For help, the state Board of Regents has put together an advisory committee and hired SP&A Executive Search firm.

At a meeting on Monday for the committee to give final edits, consultant Alberto Pimentel said recruiting has begun.

“We have already started calling people and telling them about the position. And so they’re anxious to see what the description looks like. And so we want to get it out this week," Pimentel said.

Thousands of comments about characteristics that people say they want in the next UA president also went into developing the job profile.
