Arizona Snowbowl ski resort will stay open later in the year than ever before — with a catch

If you’re still looking for something to do this Memorial Day weekend, you might consider skiing. Both Sunrise and Mt. Lemmon closed for the season in March, but Arizona Snowbowl has announced that the ski resort just northwest of Flagstaff will stay open later than ever this year.

Skiing in June? In Arizona? Could it be? The Show reached out to Angelina Grubb, marketing coordinator at Arizona Snowbowl, to find out more.

"We actually did just extend our season, up until June 1, which makes our longest season ever up here at Snowbowl," Grubb said. "Last year, we stayed open until Memorial Day and so this is the first year we've ever gone into June."

There’s just one catch: If you go, you’ll need to be pretty experienced. This weekend and next, Snowbowl will have only advanced terrain available for skiers and snowboarders.
