ASU picks Graham Rossini to head Sun Devil Athletics

Arizona State University has picked Graham Rossini to be the new athletics department director.

Rossini had been the university’s chief business officer. Before that, he spent more than a decade with the Diamondbacks as vice president of special projects.

"I can tell you I didn’t necessarily seek out to become an athletic director. I was motivated to come back to the university and help Sun Devil Athletics because it's been such an important part of my life and my opportunities. And so I’m grateful, I’m proud and I’m just excited to represent all Sun Devils," Rossini said.

Former Athletics Director Ray Anderson resigned in November.

ASU President Michael Crow says sports department finances have since been restructured and centralized.
