Ten Arizona school districts will receive over $8 million from the Biden administration for purchasing clean public school buses.
The rebates, coming from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed in 2022, will allow the districts to purchase a total of 30 clean buses, the vast majority of which will be electric.
This is the third round of funding nationwide from the EPA for school districts to invest in cleaner buses.
According to the agency, the funding prioritized school districts in low income, rural and tribal areas.
