A February fire in Bisbee destroyed two historic buildings, and investigators believe electrical issues from a sauna may have been the cause.
Investigators had a hard time following the electrical wires, and while there is no definitive cause, the fire did start behind a sauna. The building needed to be stabilized in order to continue the inspection after a wall collapsed.
"I wish it would go faster, but we’re getting by fine. It doesn’t affect commerce, for the most part, people can shop," Mayor Ken Budge said.
Budge says two of the buildings are being worked on through insurance and contracts, and this has caused Main Street to only have one operating lane.
