Evernorth Care Group recently laid off 261 employees in Arizona, and is no longer offering certain specialty services.
The company will be closing their ambulatory surgery center, audiology, general surgery and urgent care services this summer and early fall. Pharmacy services will continue in nine of their locations. It will be providing a package that includes a variety of transition services for laid-off employees.
Two locations, North Valley and South Mountain, will be closed by September. All clinicians and the majority of staff at these locations will be relocated to nearby centers.
Evernorth Care Group said in an email statement it will be providing additional information to patients.
