New Flagstaff to LAX flights among routes added in Arizona this year

Flagstaff Pulliam Airport will begin offering flights to Los Angeles’ LAX starting in October. Nonstop flights on American Airlines will take off for the West Coast on Saturdays. The news comes as the airport has increased parking spaces, started charging to park and updated its terminal and runways.

In late May, Air France started flying non-stop between Paris and Phoenix. Air France’s route to Charles de Gaulle Airport is running three times a week.

Travelers now have three overseas destinations connected to Sky Harbor Airport.

British Airways and American Airlines both fly direct from Phoenix to London Heathrow Airport and Germany-based Condor Airlines offers non-stop flights from Phoenix to Frankfurt between May and September. In February, American Airlines started direct flights from Phoenix to Tijuana, marking the only international service from Tijuana into the United States.

In other air travel news, Sky Harbor International plans to build a new terminal on the airport’s west side, close to where former Terminals 1 and 2 were located before being demolished. Construction isn’t expected to begin until 2032 because the FAA’s environmental process will take about five years, followed by design work.
