After monsoon storms dumped rain in some areas across metro Phoenix Sunday night, relief from the heat may continue later in the week.
The National Weather Service forecasts the chance of rain between 20% and 30%, including on Wednesday and Thursday.
“Once we get later in the week, the moisture may get a little better so by the weekend, next weekend, we might have a little better shot," NWS meteorologist Mark O’Malley said.
Temperatures are still predicted to be in the triple digits, including the possibility of over 110 degrees.
Here is a map of rainfall totals from the storms over the Phoenix metro area last night. Totals varied a lot, with some North Valley totals over 3/4 of an inch.
