Three people were rescued from Lynx Creek in the Prescott National Forest

Rescuers pulled a driver who become stuck in a creek east of Prescott and two good Samaritans who stopped to help out of the water on Sunday.

Kathy Goodman is with the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, which responded to the scene.

“Situations like these are incredibly dangerous. That water is moving incredibly quickly. So if 911’s been called, we’re on our way," Goodman said. "We’ll do the hard work. We’ll keep the scene safe.”

Especially during the monsoon, Goodman says people should never attempt to cross flowing water either on foot or while driving.
