A Texas-based home goods retailer is going out of business and closing its Arizona stores.
Conn’s Home Plus will close all 174 stores across 15 states. The company’s website says it employs more than 4,000 people.
Last year, Conn’s bought retailer Badcock Home Furniture & more, which grew the company’s footprint to more than 500 stores.
Conn’s did not respond to KJZZ New’s request for comment but a Phoenix employee said all Arizona stores should be closed by October.
Here are Conn’s 10 locations in Arizona:
- Chandler — 2820 W. Chandler Blvd. Suite 8
- Goodyear — 15305 W. McDowell Road
- Mesa — 1655 S. Stapley Drive
- Phoenix — 4531 E. Thomas Road
- Phoenix — 2820 W. Dunlap Road

In July, the discount retail chain Big Lots began advertising store closing sales at about a third of its Arizona locations. The company cited a drop in consumer spending, especially in high-ticket discretionary items.
