Scottsdale police searching for vandal who defaced several political campaign signs

Scottsdale police are looking for a person who was caught on video defacing several political signs in Scottsdale representing different candidates:

According to the police, the only description is a “white male on a bicycle.”

Scottsdale Sgt. Allison Sempsis said the vandal left some signs untouched, but didn’t speculate on why they might have done so:

“The only signs that were not damaged at the intersection of Hayden and Sweetwater belonged to one person that was running for senate and a political sign in favor of Proposition 490 and 491,” she said.

Sempsis also said that regardless of political affiliation, the Scottsdale Police is going to continue investigating these types of crime.

Anyone with more information is encouraged to call Scottsdale police or the Silent Witness Hotline at 480-WITNESS.
