Along with temperatures, Arizona drivers can expect a slow decrease in gas prices. Different parts of the state, though, are seeing different prices.
Prices here are not dropping as fast as the national average, according to Patrick De Haan with Gas Buddy. Dehaan says California refineries are dealing with scheduled maintenance and some unexpected outages.
“The Phoenix metro area has actually seen a 2-and-a-half cent increase in the last month again because it’s tied to the western portions of the state that are supplied via California. Tucson on the other hand is down 9 cents," De Haan said.
De Haan says the eastern half of the state gets its gas from Texas refineries, giving it a buffer from the California supply.
