A federal judge issued an injunction ordering electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Motors to reinstate two employees at its Casa Grande facility and stop any violations of labor law.
Lucid Motors has been accused by the regional director of the National Labor Relations Board of anti-union activities, including firing two of its employees for distributing pro-union material and attempting to start a union.
A Lucid spokesperson said in a statement that the company respects its employees' right to organize and to choose or refuse to engage in union activity.
"Lucid lawfully separated the employees for violations of company policy," the statement said, "We are confident that there is no basis for the National Labor Relations Board ('NLRB') to pursue an injunction in federal court. Lucid is committed to following the law and protecting the rights of our employees to make an informed choice free from harassment, threats, or coercion."
A hearing before the NLRB is set to begin on Oct. 9 if a settlement is not reached.
