Inflation continues to fall in Phoenix after a slight bump during the summer.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the metro area’s inflation was at 1.6% for September and October. That was down 0.7% from August.
Food and energy prices fell as well in that same period. Economist Danny Court says Arizona has performed better than the national average.
"Certainty is what the markets really enjoy. When it’s in line with expectations, whether anyone thinks it’s too low or too high, when it’s in line with what people are forecasting, it doesn’t create a lot of waves," Court said.
National consumer prices rose 2.6% in October, a slight bump from the month before.
