Major renovations are underway at Glendale’s Desert Diamond Arena.
The arena, which can hold up to 19,000 spectators, opened in 2003 and was the longtime home of the Arizona Coyotes until the hockey team left Glendale in 2022.
Now, venue operator ASM Global says the $42 million redesign of the facility will transform it from a traditional sports complex into a more high-end music and entertainment venue.
Plans include new bars, an upgraded dining area and a VIP club.
Renovations are expected to be complete in spring 2025.
