Grand Canyon National Park is taking public comment on a proposed fee hike for non-commercial river trips.

If approved, the flat-rate fee would jump from $90 per person to $310 per person for Lees Ferry to Diamond Creek.

The proposal would also add a $55 fee for Diamond Creek to Pearce Ferry, which is currently free.

The park is taking online and written comments through Jan. 30 at parkplanning.nps.gov.
