A local Tempe bookstore called Wijaya started a donation drive, encouraging members of the community to give books in support of those affected by wildfire in Pacific Palisades, California. The drive at Wijaya House began following the loss of items by schools and a local library branch.

Melati Parker is the owner.

“So a dear friend of mine in California is helping to run a book drive for an elementary school, a middle school, a high school, and the branch library of Pacific Palisades,” she said.

The book drive will continue through the rest of the month of February. As for donations, Parker says books ranging from children to young adult are needed.
