Gas prices are up up slightly around Arizona.
AAA Arizona's Julian Paredes says the conflict in the Middle East is pushing oil prices higher, making regular gas about 3 cents per gallon more expensive than it was last week. But the price you pay at the pump depends on where you live.
"The most expensive gas across Arizona is in Maricopa County, it’s averaging about $3.44. Yuma County has the cheapest at $2.96," said Paredes.
Statewide, the average price per gallon of regular is about $3.28, which is about 7 cents higher than the national average — but its also about 33 cents cheaper than the same time last year, according to AAA data.
Paredes says it's unclear when prices might drop back down, though he does say it’s contingent on what happens in the Middle East.
