Gas prices continue to rise in Arizona with an average of $3.56, 7 cents more from last week.
AAA’s Julian Paredes blames the continuing supply squeeze as refinery maintenance season makes the switch from summer to winter blend fuel. Once that transition is complete, Paredes says that we should start seeing prices come back down.
"Neighboring states are starting to feel what we’re feeling, states like Nevada. So it really does start to feel like it’s refinery maintenance," he said.
Paredes says that what you pay for gas in Arizona depends on where you buy it, where Maricopa County is the highest at $3.84 and Greenlee County at lowest at $2.95.
