The average gas price in Arizona has fallen significantly over the past month.

Patrick Dehaan with Gasbuddy said that a fire at a California refinery at the beginning of the month was expected to drive prices up. While they spiked in that week, they’ve come down since then, thanks to oil coming from Asian markets.

"That path between Asian refineries and Southern California and its market it feeds including in Arizona is gonna become more established," he said.

The average price of gas in Arizona is now $3.38 a gallon, down 24 cents in the last month.

Dehaan also said a company called Oneok is looking into building a pipeline from Oklahoma and Texas Refineries into parts of Arizona, which could also help when there are refinery issues in California.
