Energy companies Phillips 66 and Kinder Morgan plan to build and manage a gas pipeline stretching across 1,300 miles. It extends from Borger, Texas, to Phoenix.
The development of the pipeline project is expected to be combined with another pipeline and shift fuel products to Arizona and California.
According to project details, the pipeline addresses California's declining refinery capacity, which is tied to Arizona’s gas supply. The route will also be capable of supplying 200,000 barrels of refined products into the Grand Canyon State.
The project is expected to be completed in 2029.
