Gas prices are climbing ahead of the holiday season, a time when they typically fall.
The Arizona average is $3.36 a gallon, which is 4 cents higher than last week.
Julian Paredes with AAA Arizona said he hopes to see stability in gas prices soon.
"Whatever is happening, hopefully doesn't last long," Paredes said. "Thanksgiving's just around the corner and a lot of people are gonna be hitting the road. Hopefully gas prices stabilize by then."
Paredes said the increase can be associated with emergency refinery work in California. Currently, the most expensive gas in the state is Maricopa County, while the cheapest is in Greenlee County, at just under $3.
