The FAA has announced it would freeze its flight reduction plan at 6%. But, there are still roughly 100 delayed or canceled flights at Sky Harbor on Thursday.
It's unclear how long it will take before operations at Sky Harbor get back to normal. Hundreds of flights have been delayed or cancelled in the last week.
The FAA announced Wednesday that airlines will no longer have to cut flights because air traffic control staffing has improved significantly. Originally, the order, which took effect last Friday, called for those flight cuts to increase to 8% Thursday and top out at 10% on Friday.
It remains unclear when the FAA will lift the flight restrictions.
