A state-contracted accounting firm says the Arizona entity that owns the stadium in Glendale hasn’t made sure it receives the correct amount of concession money and event fees.
The Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority owns the home of the Arizona Cardinals, the Fiesta Bowl and other major events.
A new audit recommends the authority double check if five years' worth of concession revenue received is the amount the authority was owed.
Auditors also found that the authority did not follow some conflict of interest laws, such as banning board members and staff from having certain financial stakes, or disclosing all board member interests in public records.
The authority has agreed to make all changes recommended in the audit.
