The Arizona Heritage Center is located in Tempe.

The Arizona Heritage Center plans to reopen to the public on Tuesday following storm-related repairs and facility improvements.

The center, near Curry Road and College Avenue in Tempe, closed down in November after storms caused significant flooding and infrastructure damage. The issues were compounded by an August break-in, which damaged the center’s pump system.

When the facility reopens, a new exhibition centered around Indigenous artistry will be one of the features awaiting guests.

The reopening comes just in time for an open house event on Saturday, Feb. 14, to commemorate Arizona ’s 114th year of statehood.

Members of the Arizona Historical Society had early access to the center’s relaunch.

The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
