The person in charge of kitchen hiring for more than a dozen sports bars and restaurants raided in January by federal immigration authorities is now scheduled to plead guilty.
Records show that Diego Gonzalez-Rosales pleaded not guilty in early February. Now he’s scheduled to take part in a change of plea hearing on March 10.
Gonzalez-Rosales was one of dozens of Zipps Sports Grill employees who authorities arrested on suspicion of being undocumented.
But federal prosecutors have also criminally charged him with continuously, knowingly hiring people unauthorized to work in the US, identity theft and more.
Court records say Gonzalez-Rosales was employed by Zipps for 15 to 20 years.
