A new bus service is offering rides from Phoenix Sky Harbor to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Flixbus is offering the summer service as part of the America 250th anniversary.

“When you get to Tusayan, essentially passengers take about a four-minute walk over to the purple shuttle line, and they can board the shuttle there and enter the park,” Hinton said
The service begins at the PHX Sky Train station at 44th Street near Sky Harbor. Hinton said fares vary on demand, but generally cost around $30 per ticket.
“We've been wanting to get it on the map because we noticed that there weren't really any direct services directly to the Canyon without a transfer or some sort of shuttle,” Hinto said.
Hinton said passengers should be aware that they still need a National Parks pass to enter the park.
Phoenix is not the first city with Flixbus service to the Grand Canyon. The company also services the South Rim from Las Vegas.
The Phoenix service has stops in Glendale and Flagstaff.
