The threat of deed fraud is on the rise in Arizona. According to the state Attorney General’s Office, it’s received 372 real estate fraud complaints since January 2024.
Now the department is encouraging home owners to protect their property with the Early Real Estate Sales Alert System.
It’s free to register properties online and works by notifying a homeowner when an escrow officer enters a pending real estate sale.

Maricopa County also offers a free title alert program that monitors and alerts subscribers when documents are recorded.
