After Arizona State University broke yet another enrollment record — nearly 41,000 new students are Sun Devils.

More than 10,000 of those students come from Arizona, which is an increase of 9% from the previous year.

On PBS’ “Arizona Horizon,” University president Michael Crow talked about ASU’s growth.

“You know, what’s funny about that, those are the people not thinking about the size of Arizona, the size of the economy, the size of our aspiration, the size of the new things that we need to do to build an economic future. Turns out that Arizona has fewer students in college than Oregon — and Oregon is a smaller state," he said.

Crow also talked about ASU’s move into the Big 12 Conference for sports. He says that is a huge opportunity for the university.
