To date, 64 grants have been terminated or stop-work ordered at the University of Arizona, according to an internal university website.
The cancellations add up to nearly $60 million in unspent dollars.
UA spokesperson Mitch Zak could not confirm the numbers however, he says the stop order process has slowed dramatically in the last month.
