The Sun Devils are back for football season Saturday night and for the first time since 1998, the home opener is sold out.
A Friday press release from Arizona State University said fans are celebrating the Sun Devils’ most anticipated season in over a decade.
In ASU’s inaugural year in the Big 12 conference, its athletic department won the Commissioner’s Cup and won four conference championships in football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s swimming.
Head football coach Kenny Dillingham was also named Big 12 Coach of the Year.
The Sun Devils enter the season ranked 11th in the country as the reigning Big 12 Champions. Saturday’s game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Mountain America Stadium against the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks.
