A teacher’s aide was arrested on Tuesday in Mesa after allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student.
Mesa police say they arrested 24-year-old Dominic Sette after administrators at Empower Academy in east Mesa discovered inappropriate texts between Sette and a 14-year-old male student.
Police say Sette had been in contact with the student for several months and had asked the teen to provide inappropriate and nude images.
Police interviewed school administrators, the student and the students parents before the case was handed to Mesa’s Special Victims Unit. Detectives say they conducted additional interviews and executed multiple search warrants to establish probable cause.
Police say Sette is facing charges including sexual exploitation of a minor and luring.
