A former University of Arizona basketball player is accused of committing multimillion-dollar fraud for years starting when he was in Tucson.
Kerr Kriisa, an Estonian national, became a fan favorite while at UA from 2020 through the spring of 2023.
He was indicted under seal in West Virginia last month. The now unsealed indictment says in 2022, Kriisa began taking in more than $2 million by lying and posing as other people.
Kriisa allegedly lied about getting a loan and plans to sell his organs to repay someone.
He also allegedly posed as his own mother, requesting money to pay for cancer treatments and to save the family farm.
