Arizonans have less than a week to register to vote if they want to cast a ballot in the upcoming November election.
Eligible citizens who register by the Oct. 7 deadline will be able to vote for president, U.S. Senate and dozens of other statewide and local races that will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.
Voters can also weigh in on over a dozen ballot measures this year, including a constitutional amendment seeking to expand abortion rights and a Republican-backed border security proposal.
Arizonans can register to vote online through the Motor Vehicle Department or they can fill out a paper form and file it by mail or in person with the secretary of state or county recorder’s office.
Individuals must submit proof of citizenship with their registration to be eligible to vote in statewide and local elections in Arizona. That can include a photocopy of an Arizona driver’s license, birth certificate or passport.
