A new video produced by the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office allows voters to follow the life cycle of a mail-in ballot.
Recorder’s Office spokesperson Luke Forstner said that in an election as high-profile as this one, it’s more important than ever to be transparent about the process.
“We wanna make sure those people can follow along with the process, they can know how this works, and they can feel comfortable and secure in the fact that they understand what this process looks like behind the scenes," Forstner said.
The video covers everything, starting with the initial printing of the ballots and ending with how the results are tabulated.
It even covers how particular issues, like mismatched signatures or incorrectly-filled bubbles, get resolved.
Forstner also said that voters in Maricopa County can track the status of their ballot and find answers to additional questions at beballotready.vote.
Early voting in Arizona has already begun, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
