In a final attempt to gather support before Election Day, vice presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz traveled to the Grand Canyon State to stump for themselves and for local candidates.

Speaking at a Scottsdale gun store, Vance said a Donald Trump presidency would spark more construction to address the housing affordability crisis.

He also vowed Trump would close the southern border and stop cartels from bringing drugs into the United States.

Vance also criticized Democratic Senate candidate Ruben Gallego and urged people to pick his opponent, Republican Kari Lake.

“Right now, you guys have a far-left radical running pretending to be a moderate, Ruben Gallego, and on the other side, you got someone who’s actually going to fight for the people of Arizona. Let’s send a fighter for the people of Arizona and the United States Senate," he said.

Vance encouraged supporters to tell others to drop off their ballots and to take action in the few days left before Election Day.

Walz addressed supporters in Flagstaff Saturday afternoon, stumping for Harris, but also saying it’s important to elect Democrat Ruben Gallego in Arizona’s U.S. Senate race.

"Look we’re gonna need the house and we’re gonna need the Senate so we need to make sure Ruben Gallego ends up in the Senate," he said.

Walz said a second Trump presidency would be harmful to the economy, citing job losses in the country during Trump’s previous administration.
