Monday, Aug. 25 is the last day to register to participate in the upcoming special election in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
Voters from the southern Arizona border, to western Tucson, to as far north as Avondale and Tolleson in the Phoenix metro region, have until the end of the day to register ahead of the Sept. 25 election to find a replacement for the late Democratic Congressman Raul Grijalva.
The favorite to win the election is Grijalva’s daughter, Democrat and former Pima County Supervisors Adelita Grijalva. She faces Republican Daniel Butierez in the heavily Democratic-leaning district.
