The Navajo Nation is looking for investors for a massive resort it wants to build overlooking a world famous landmark in northern Arizona.
President Buu Nygren signed a lease agreement for a $700 million resort development overlooking Horseshoe Bend.
The plans call for a 421-acre development overlooking the popular horseshoe-shaped canyon, Glen Canyon and the Colorado River downstream from Lake Powell.
The Navajo Nation anticipates $14 million in local tax and lease revenue. The project is expected to begin construction in April 2026.
