Sedona, Arizona.

This month, Sedona will be considering the first implementation of its new ordinance allowing it to reduce the speeds of off-highway vehicles on city streets.

The City Council has been wrangling with the issue for several years.

In October, it passed an ordinance that allows it to set a 15 mph speed limit on city streets for OHVs.

In June, 43 homeowners in a single neighborhood petitioned that the speed limit for off the OHV be reduced to 15 mph along the popular Morgan Road, which traverses some of Sedona’s most famous views.

The council will vote Nov. 12 on the proposal.

If the resolution passes, local police will start an education program before actively enforcing the new speed limit.
