Officials in Tucson are asking members of the public for input on an app being developed by the public transit system SunTran.
SunTran was operating 42 routes and more than 59,000 rides every weekday at last count earlier this year. The system includes city buses, the street car and other shuttle services around Tucson.
Earlier this month, SunTran officials said they were working on an app to improve rider experiences and make public transit more accessible. They’re asking members of the public to complete a short survey to weigh in on possible app components like real-time bus tracking, trip planning tools, service alerts and other options.
People have until Jan. 15 to complete the survey. As the Tucson Sentinel reports, it's the latest call for public input from the service.
