The FBI has added the alleged leader and namesake of the Sinaloa-based Meza Flores criminal organization to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

The FBI alleges 42-year-old Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, also known as “Chapo Isidro,” leads an operation that moves drugs across the border into the United States.

Meza Flores was originally indicted in the United States in 2012. He’s charged with drug trafficking violations and possession of a firearm.

The FBI says Meza Flores likely resides in Mexico.

In recent months, violence caused by warring cartel factions has disrupted life in Sinaloa.

The U.S. State Department is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information that leads to Meza Flores’ arrest or conviction.
