Northern Arizona is about to end the driest winter on record, as snow is expected to finally descend.
An atmospheric river is expected to impact northern Arizona late Thursday. Brian Klimowski is meteorologist in charge at the U.S. National Weather Service in Flagstaff.
"Here in Flagstaff, we’re expecting 4 to 8 inches but it’s going to be highly variable on the elevation. If the storm comes in colder, we’ll see quite a bit more, if it comes in warmer, we’ll see less," he said.
It is the driest winter on record measuring since December.
