Grand Canyon visitors who violate fire restrictions and speed limits will now face steeper fines.
Fire violations during Stage 1 restrictions will cost $300 and during the more severe Stage 2, $500.
The same goes for speeding in school zones. Drivers exceeding speed limits up to 10 miles an hour will face $300 fines and above that, $500.
