U.S. immigration authorities arrested a famous Mexican boxer in Los Angeles on Wednesday for entering the United States illegally.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says Julio César Chávez Jr. faces organized crime charges in Mexico.

The professional Mexican boxer’s arrest comes days after he lost a match against internet-personality-turned fighter Jake Paul in California, where federal officials say Chávez lives illegally.

U.S. authorities say Chávez is wanted in Mexico, and that he’s associated with the Sinaloa Cartel. Homeland Security says he is being processed for expedited removal from the United States.

The 39-year-old boxer’s father is a multiple time world champion and regarded as one of the best in his country’s history.
