Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim community is trying to provide relief to dozens of evacuated park staffers while the White Sage and Dragon Bravo fires burn. Here's what’s next for those looking to help.

The fires forced the full evacuation of the North Rim earlier this month, and with it, dozens of park staff members. In the weeks since, donations have poured in to support them. Now, officials say storage space is tight and needs have shifted.

They’re asking people to hold off on bringing any more donations directly to the Albright Training Center.

Instead, food donations can be coordinated through the Grand Canyon Food Pantry, and clothing through the Canyon Closet, which operates through the Grand Canyon School PTA.

It’s a move meant to streamline help and make sure displaced workers get exactly what they need, when they need it.

The Dragon Bravo Fire at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim is now the seventh largest fire in Arizona history, burning more than 130,000 acres.
